- Get 1 tsp Kasuri methi
- Make ready 3 cloves
- Prepare 200 ml Water
Steps to make Reshmi Chicken masala:
- Let's begin our recipe with marinating the chicken - - into a bowl add washed and dried chicken pieces, then add ginger garlic paste
- Now add chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric
- Chopped green chillies, yoghurt and fresh cream
- Squeeze half a lemon, add handful of Coriander leaves and combine the masala well with the chicken
- Once the chicken is evenly coated with the masala, cover and marinate for 30 mins
- (Until the chicken is getting marinated lets quickly prepare another masala) - - Take a pan add 1tsp of oil once oil is heated add chopped onions
- Once the onions turns translucent add cashews and roast them, turn off the flame and allow it to cool - - Note: do not turn onions golden brown, that will change the color of gravy
- Once it's cooled down, traansfer it into a jar add little water and grind it to a fine paste
- Now take a deep pan, add the whole garam masala and then add prepared onion cashew paste
- Cook well until you see a slight change of color in masala, then add the marinated chicken pieces and stir cook
- Cook chicken on high flame for 5 mins to lock the juice of chicken, then add 200ml of water stirr well cover and cook on medium flame for 15 mins
- After 15 mins check out the gravy and adjust the consistency if required add water if you feel gravy is too loose then cover and cook 5 more mins
- After 5 mins the gravy is thickened and it is in perfect consistency, add crushed kasuri methi stirr well (check salt and adjust) cover and cook 2 mins on low flame once the oil releases your recipe is ready
