- Wash chicken properly then marinate with haldi powder, jeera powder, salt, curd and keep aside for 1 hour.
- Now heat a kadai and add sufficient oil for frying chopped onion, as soon as onion turns golden brown add ginger and garlic paste with chilli paste.
- Saute for few minutes until raw smell vanishes, now add marinated chicken and stir properly.
- When colour of chicken will change now add dhaniya powder, salt and sugar according to taste.
- Add cashew and poppy seed paste and stir constantly so that masala doesn't stick to the kadai.
- Now add chopped dhanya leaves and cook for few minutes until oil start seperating from the chicken.
- Now add lukewarm water and let it cook until chicken becomes tender.
- When it will turn into a thick gravy add garam masala powder and mix it well, again cook for 5mins.
- Switch off the flame and give standing time of 10mins and can be served with both rice and roti.
