- I boiled the chicken with half the seasoning chicken broth ,half stick of butter and a bay leaf, then shredded and let it rest.made the corn bread with the rest of the seasoning and baked until done.in a large pot I combined the chicken and its juices withe the corn bread ,rest of the peppers,salt and pepper,half stick melted butter,I used two more cans of chicken broth and mixed well.place in oven and baked uncovered until done.

Nestle the chicken thighs all around the pan, skin side up. Mix together the salt, pepper, sage, and thyme and sprinkle it all over the chicken, bread, and veggies. Dot the top with the butter.
