The main ingredient is miso but added to it are sake, soy sauce, mirin, sugar, ground white sesame seeds, garlic, ginger and chilli bean paste/doubanjiang/toban-djan (豆板醤). Make the miso ramen soup base (tare) by whisking together the sake, mirin, garlic, and ginger in a small bowl. Pour into a pot and bring to a boil over medium heat. Remove from heat and whisk in the miso and doubanjiang until well combined.

- Boil water and put your chicken stock powder
- Prepare all ingredients
