  2. Prepare Curd
  3. Get Kashmiri Red chilli powder
  4. Get Coriander powder
  5. Take Cumin powder
  6. Take Garam Masala
  7. Get Turmeric powder
  8. Make ready Food Colour
  9. Get Lemon juice 2 full lemon
  10. Get Ginger paste
  11. Get Garlic paste
  12. Prepare Oil
  13. Take tomatoes chopped large
  14. Make ready Bay leaves
  15. Prepare Green cardamom
  16. Take Basmati rice
  17. Get Charcoal for smell
  18. Make ready Rose water
  19. Prepare Chopped coriander
  20. Get Chopped green chillies
Instructions to make Chicken "BBQ" Biryani:
  1. Firstly, take 750 gms of chicken now marinate it with few ingredients : Curd 200 gms, salt, Ginger-Garlic paste 1tsp each, Red chilli powder 1tbsp, Coriander powder 1tbsp,Cumin powder 2tsp, Garam masala 1tsp, Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp, Food colour 1/4 tsp, lemon juice 2 full, Oil 2tbsp. Mix them all well in the chicken and marinate it for 20 mins and keep it aside.
  2. After 20 mins, in the pan drizzle 2 tbsp of oil, then add black zeera or shahi zeera 2 tsp,let it crackle for sec now in it add all the marinated chicken only not the masala's.Keep the masala side for the next step. Cook it for 5 mins in medium high flame by covering from the top.Then flip the other side of the chicken and again cook it for 10 min medium low flame until chicken soft and juicy.
  3. Heat the charcoal in gas,give the smell of charcoal by making small cup of aluminium foil or small steel cup in the centre of pan.In it keep charcoal and drizzle few drops of oil and cover the lid for about 5 mins.
  4. Now,in the other bottom thickened pan,add 4 tbsp of oil, in it add 2-3 bay leaves and 4 green cardamom in the oil, wait for 30 sec.Now add all the basmati rice for (soaked in water for 1 hr). In the 3 cup of rice and 4.5 cup of water. Add 2tsp of salt.Stir it slighty.Cook until 90 % of rice is cooked and all the water is absorbed.
  5. In the chicken marinated remaining masala,add 2 large chopped tomatoes, 1tsp garam masala and lemon. In the other pan,add 4 tbsp of water now transfer all these masala. Now cook it in medium high for 5 mins until oil separated in the pan and the masala become thicked.
  6. Now in a small bowl take 1/2 cup of curd/ dahi, in it add 1tsp of food colour, and few drops of rose water or kewara essence. Keep it mixture aside.Need this while layering the biryani.
  7. Then,chopped few coriander and green chillies and keep it aside.
  8. Lastly, time to assemble all the layers of the biryani: Firstly in bottom layer, spread one layer of masala,on top of it spread one layer of rice (half,remaining rice later),then spread all cooked and charcoal smell chicken on top of rice.
  9. After that on top add chicken,pour that curd & colour mixture, coriander leaves,chopped chillies and potatoes(optional).
  10. Now spread the remaining half rice on the last layer.Again spread coriander leaves and chillies and fried onion.
  11. Yummiest, Chicken BBQ Biryani is ready to serve to your guest.
