Instructions to make Alo chicken biryani:
- Heat the oil fry onion until golden brown,take out half quantity of fried onion and set aside.
- In remaining fried onion add ginger garlic paste and mix well.
- Add potatoes fry for 5 minutes. Now add chicken and fry until the color changes.
- Add black pepper corn, cloves, black and green cardamom, star anise, cinnamon stick, bay leaves, cumin seeds, red chilli, Coriander powder, turmeric, cumin powder, whole ground spices, salt and yogurt mix well for 10 minutes with water.
- Add tomatoes and mix well until oil separates.
- Add green chillies, green coriander, mint leaves and mix well. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
- Boil rice with whole spices and salted water.
- Take out half quantity of potatoes and chicken gravy and set aside add lemon juice and (half) boil rice. Remaining gravy lemon juice, fried onion and boil rice cover and steam for 8 minutes.
